FAQ
Own-authority questions
Will you force loads on me?
No. ALBERJO does not force dispatch. Every load is offered to you with the lane, rate, broker, weight and pickup window. Nothing is booked until you say yes. Declining a load is normal and never held against you.
What is the management fee charged on?
Under Carrier Management 360°, the 12% management fee applies to the linehaul rate of loads ALBERJO books for you. For brokerage and dual-authority programs, the amount the percentage is applied to is written in your management agreement. It is not charged up front, and it is not charged on loads you decline.
Why pay a management fee when I can dispatch myself?
Because searching, calling brokers, negotiating, sending packets, chasing paperwork and following up on detention takes hours every day, and those hours compete with driving. ALBERJO's management fee pays for continuous searching across multiple freight networks while you drive, negotiation, broker setup, paperwork, fast-pay support and Compliance Watch. If you can do all of that from the cab and still drive, you may not need us. Most owner-operators would rather drive.
Is ALBERJO a freight broker?
No. For own-authority carriers ALBERJO is a dispatch and back-office service working under a written agreement with your company and on your behalf. Brokers hold broker authority and pay carriers; ALBERJO does not sit between you and the broker's money. Under the ALBERJO Authority Program, ALBERJO is the motor carrier of record and you operate through ALBERJO's carrier program under a written agreement. ALBERJO also manages licensed freight brokers' businesses under their own broker authority and in their name; the client stays the broker of record.
What do you need from me, and what will you never ask for?
To dispatch under your authority we need your MC/USDOT numbers, a W-9, a certificate of insurance, your factoring notice of assignment if you factor, and a signed dispatch agreement. We never ask for your Social Security number at the lead stage, your FMCSA portal or Login.gov credentials, your USDOT PIN, or bank passwords. Anyone who asks for those is not dispatching for you.
How much will my insurance cost under the ALBERJO Authority Program?
There is no single insurance price for every operator. Your cost is determined after you apply and depends on your driver history, driving record, vehicle/equipment, coverage requirements, and insurance underwriting. ALBERJO will provide the amount after your application is reviewed and before you are activated.
Is insurance included in the 15% ALBERJO Authority Program fee?
No. The 15% is ALBERJO's program and service fee. Insurance is separate and depends on the actual coverage cost approved for your driver and equipment. Recurring insurance charges may be deducted from settlements as stated in your signed agreement, and every deduction is itemised on your settlement statement. This does not apply to own-authority carriers, who carry their own insurance.
Am I locked into a contract?
The dispatch agreement is in writing and can be ended with notice. There are no setup fees and no monthly minimums for the own-authority program. Program-specific terms for the ALBERJO Authority Program are disclosed in writing before you sign.
Are there hidden fees or deductions?
No hidden fees. Carrier Management 360° is the 12% management fee. For the ALBERJO Authority Program, any program-specific insurance or other authorized costs are disclosed separately and in writing; they are not hidden inside the 15%.
How do I verify ALBERJO is a real carrier?
Look us up on the FMCSA SAFER and Licensing & Insurance systems: ALBERJO LLC, USDOT 4080033, MC-1811031, Missouri City, Texas. The record shows ALBERJO LLC as an authorized for-hire interstate motor carrier of property, with operating authority and insurance filings on file. We encourage you to verify any dispatcher, broker or carrier program the same way before you work with them.
